This page describes the cookies and similar technologies that Inboard uses across the inboard.dev website, the customer dashboard, and the embedded widget. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies allow sites to remember you across pages and across visits. “Similar technologies” — local storage, session storage, and pixels — behave similarly from a privacy standpoint and we treat them the same way in this policy.
Cookies we set
Strictly necessary
- Authentication — so you stay signed in across pages in the dashboard. Set only after you log in.
- CSRF protection — to prevent cross-site request forgery against form submissions.
- Session preferences — remembers the sidebar collapse state, theme, and similar UI preferences so the dashboard looks the way you left it.
Analytics
- First-party site analytics — page views, referrer, and conversion events on inboard.dev. These are aggregated and do not include identifiers we can tie back to an individual.
Widget telemetry
- Anonymous session identifier — the installation widget sets a random identifier in local storage so that a user who returns within twenty-four hours is counted as the same session. It contains no personal data.
We do not set advertising cookies and we do not sell or share personal data with ad networks.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the authentication cookie will sign you out of the dashboard and prevent you from signing back in; blocking widget telemetry will cause each page load to be counted as a new session rather than grouped.
Changes
If we add or remove cookies we will update this page. For a material change that affects your privacy we will also update the Privacy Policy and notify you in the dashboard.
